    Default St Anthony Shootout

St. Anthony is hosting their annual shootout this Saturday, the 7th.

Eisenhower and T-Town would have probably made more sense than the matchups as they are.

    1:00 pm Windsor/Stew-Stras vs. Newton
2:30 pm Casey Westfield vs. Dieterich
4:00 pm Lawrenceville vs. Decatur Eisenhower
5:30 pm Evergreen Park vs. Teutopolis
7:00 pm St. Anthony vs. La Salette

There were some really good games yesterday. Newton, Casey, Eisenhower, ttown And ST A were all winners.
The best cheering section was by far the LA Sallette student body.

LA Sallette brings the entire school. Them boys get rocking don't they. With their size I would think they would be really much better than they are.

Their 4 losses have come to teams with a combined 6 losses between them. Not bad for a school who lost four starters from their previous team and has been without two of their current starters for much of the season.

At the moment, it doesn't seem like something that will happen in the near future. It is a shame, because they would likely do decently in the 1A postseason. They will instead play in the NCSAA National Tournament in Ohio this season.

Its would be rather unfair to allow such teams in the IHSA. They are using out of state players. While I really believe their mission is not sports based, I am positive other schools would take advantage of loop holes to build powerhouses in sports. Is that really what the IHSA needs? Remember the screaming when Mooseheart had their championship run a few years ago, And they were a legal team.

Nothing going back to two classes would not fix.

Saw an interview with their headmaster--he said IHSA bylaws prevent them from competing in postseason competition because they're a boarding school so joined my the IHSA wouldn't really be in their best interests. But isn't IMSA a boarding school as well?

IMSA is a boarding school that requires all students to be Illinois residents.
