In the first game, Edwardsville beat Triad 39-23. Triad attempted to hold the ball for much of the 1st half. When Edwardsville went up in the 2nd half by 3 possession, Coach Waldo held the ball and Triad let them. The last 3 minutes of the third quarter had only one attack at the basket in the waning moments of the quarter. The 4th quarter had more scoring than the other three quarters combined.

Been sick this week so haven't been able to make the tourney this year. Been listening when I can and tryin to keep up through Facebook videos. Sounds like Salem has played like they have all year, kinda up and down. Some nights can look great other nights, couldn't do anything right. I think Coach Fehrenbaucher has them on the right track though, hell Rome wasn't built in a day. This gonna take time and second year in here we can see drastic improvements. As for the rest of the tournament, Edwardsville is Edwardsville man. I personally would Not try to beat Waldo at his own game but that's just me. As far as the Effingham Centralia game, that was a dandy. Coach Reid seems to have a legitimate gripe there at the end but that's how it goes I guess. Effingham played great defense there towards the end and that boy hit a great shot. Hope to listen to as much as I can tonight and hate that I will miss this year. Will be the first year I've have not attended a single game in probably over 30 years. Good luck to all teams and good work as usual by the administration for all they do at this tournament.

Salem Down double digits in second half make a good run in 4th quarter to take the lead. Mattoon takes back lead then Salem hits a buzzer beater to take game to overtime.

Mattoon wins 67-66 in double overtime on a three pointer with 2 seconds left. Good game to listen to.
