Thread: Lewistown Sectional

    Default Lewistown Sectional

Camp Point Central started off with a bang at the Triopia Regional, cruising to a 13 - 0, 5 inning affair vs Springfield Lutheran. The wind was absolutely horrible, making it difficult to play the field. CPC will play in the championship game Saturday morning at 11:00, weather permitting, vs either Triopia or Griggsville/Perry. Triopia is back to back regional title holders and have defeated GP twice this season, although they are short handed with 3 starters out. Broken nose, broken finger and a boy in the hospital because of dehydration, with what is thought to be mono. I think CPC is the best team that I have seen so far this year, top to bottom can hit.

Unity loses the 9-0 cushion and holds on for a 10-9 victory.

They meet Routt in the finals. Could go either way IMO.

Will be interesting. If Unity pitched their best pitcher, that would give Routt the advantage. Routt can throw Chumley, who I don't think has been beaten this year. If Unity is smart, they don't pitch to Winters. He is starting to get red hot.

Should be a good game. I've not seen CPC, but obviously they got the top seed. They will have to beat one of the area's best in Werries, and Isaac has been pretty tough in the postseason. Wonderful kid too, he will bring his A game, no doubt.

Routt vs Unity and CPC vs Triopia both start at 4:30 and at the Lenz field complex in Jacksonville.

CPC 10 run rules Triopia 12 - 2 in 5 and improve to 24 - 5. In my opinion they are the best hitting team top to bottom that I have watched this year. Pitching isn't overly impressive but they run the bases extremely well and really bring the lumber. They will be a tough out. Good luck Panthers.

After gettting out to a 4-0 lead, Unity couldn't stop Routt from coming back and the Rockets winning 11-5.

Lewistown has apparently had a lot of rain today. No game tomorrow, Saturday.

Game will be played Monday at Lewistown. This will push the Super Sectional back to Tuesday.

That should get Chumley back for Routt. What about the kid that started for AA vs CPC?

He will be back as well. They took him out at 75 pitches (gutsy move only winning 1-0), so both aces will be available this game.

Whoever wins this game will have a tough time against Valmeyer because both aces will be used up and the Pirates lineup is something else. Their pitching is also good too, but they've been prone to giving up runs.
