Whats the word on these WIVC teams Carrollton and Brown County? Is there a good opponent in eithers future?

Carrollton has overachieved thus far in my opinion. They've come from behind in the fourth quarter in every game, including twice on the road against Triopia and Calhoun (each of their losses have come against the Hawks). Their quarterback, Hunter Flowers is a sophomore and has thrown 769 yards, nine touchdowns, and five interceptions. Another player that has come out of nowhere is Nathan Walker whose caught 20 passes with 435 yards and four touchdowns. They utilize all four of their receivers because they're all fast and can make plays, but Walker has stood out among them so far. So far they haven't played solid football for all four quarters, but they're a relatively young team and will get better as the season goes on by the looks of it.

Here's a highlight video I shot vs Triopia in Week 1:

IMO they just got through the toughest stretch on their schedule, but will definitely get almost everybody's best game because they're Carrollton and it appears they're the favorites to win the WIVC South outright title. They will face a tough Camp Point Central side in Week 9 on the road, which will be a great playoff tuneup. This week they got Greenfield at home and I think they'll win by a couple scores. At this moment the rest of their opponents minus CPC have losing records and I would pick the Hawks to win all of those games, but the WIVC has been a tough equation to crack so the likes of Pleasant Hill, West Central, and GNW could spring a surprise.

Brown County has a great defense and a trick offense. Their quarterback and tight end have a great connection, while their running back, Devin Tynan just broke the school record for touchdowns in a career. They have a tough schedule remaining with Unity, CPC, and Triopia among others. However, I favor the Hornets to win all of those at this moment.

FYI, Flowers is on pace to throw for over 2,000 yards in the regular season. I wonder when the last time a sophomore in 1A has done that?

Jack Hockaday did 2,529 total in 2012. Not sure what regular season was.

Did some research and found articles of every playoff game besides the first round game against Dupo. Don't think anybody wrote an article about that one because I couldn't find it. Hockaday threw for 855 yards during the rest of the four playoff games. If you take away 855 from 2,529 then you would get 1,674. That's not including the Dupo game.

That would rule Hockaday out for 2,000 passing yards in a regular season for a sophomore.

Maroa was 1A that year. Beat Stockton in the 1A championship game.

Felt like they have been 2A for quite a while, but now just a couple of years later and they are knocking on the door of 3A..........

EDIT: Looks like they have been 2A for the majority of the last decade, with them in 1A for the '12 and '13 seasons.
