Default Robbie McEvers Tournament--Jacksonville

This is a great two-day event that started today. Over 250 golfers from all over the state ranging in age from 8-18 take part free of charge.

Li'l FOTG didn't play, but Li'lest FOTG shot a 60 for 9 holes at Nichols Park in her first-ever tourney. She had a great time and can't wait to go back tomorrow!

It is a great tourney for the kids. My son played in it also. Had a great time, and of course, loved the free hot dogs and soda afterwards. Anyone who has a child who golfs should try to enter this tournament, no matter what skill level they are.

Agreed. They did the whole thing very well.

Li'lest FOTG shot 60-57-117 to take 4th place in the 9-10 girls. Not bad for her first tourney.

I walked 18 holes each day with my youngest. It was her first big tournament and she had a great time. Hailea finished 5th in the 13-15 age group out of 17 girls. This was the biggest turnout of girls ages 13 to 18 that the tournament has had in many years. Maybe ever. The status of girls golf in central Illinois is on the way up. I also would recommend the tournament to any youth of any skill level. And as an added bonus, the entry fee is .....FREE.
