Brent Brede resigns in surprise move at Wesclin

I have a good source that a local head coach has resigned from his post. Stay tuned, need to verify before I name the coach.....Was surprised to hear the news, will verify in the am.

I now have two confirmed sources that say Wesclin head coach Brent Brede has resigned from his post as head coach.

From what I hear, this is another example of administration trying to dictate coaching philosphy. Makes me sick as a coach and I am glad to see that he stepped down on his own rather than changing who he is a coach. Between overbearing administration and helicopter parents, why does anyone want to go into the coaching profession. It has deffinately changed.

IMO, if the coach has not done anything illegal and/or immoral --stay out of it. Let the coach coach.

I played with Brent in the summer sessions before he played pro baseball. Hard worker, attention to detail, and most importantly, never made excuses. Good luck whatever your career decision dictates. You always coached till the end of a game and that is something our kids need to learn, never to give up and the lessons learned from a loss. Bless you Brent! Good luck to you and yours !!
