Eric Peterman
(October 2003)

Sacred Heart-Griffin's Eric Peterman is a what many call in football circles...."a stud". He's our IllinoisHighSchoolSports.com Athlete of the Month for October. Peterman may be the the most talented football player to come out of Central Illinois in years. Eric runs the option as well as any quarterback in the state of Illinois and he is quick and strong as well, making him very elusive and hard to bring down. Certainly known for his big play capability, Peterman amazingly averages a touchdown for every five times he rushes with the ball! If you get a chance to see Eric Peterman play, take advantage of the opportunity. This kid is something special and he'll only get better.......since he's a junior!

Eric Peterman is an exceptional young man. He is not only a gifted athlete, he excels in the academic arena as well. His current grade point average is 4.3 on a 4.0 scale ranking 25th in a class of 208. The work ethic he portrays on the field is equal to the task in the classroom. Eric is a young person of strong moral character who leads by example. He is a respected member of the Sacred Heart-Griffin community, who through his example and words challenges his peers to be their best. As a Fellowship of Christian Athletes leader and role model, Eric shares his deep faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

Eric Peterman is the best game-day performer we have ever had. Eric seems to get better every game and performs his best against the best competition. Eric has all the athletic ability to be a Division I player; plus, he is also an "A" student. Eric has a bright future and will (set) many records that will be hard to break for a long time, if ever.
