Requirements / Conditions are as followed:
Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) | 4.0 (on a 5.0 scale)
Scholarships will be awarded on several criteria including academics, athletics, extra-curricular, need and community service.
Need is determined by the federal EFC number determined upon completion of the FAFSA.
Community involvement and service projects are a plus.
Nominations must have an association with IHSS. (Student is a member, parent/relative is a member, coach or teacher is a member).
We are very excited that we can once again award scholarships to graduating seniors. Scholarships are something that we are very proud of at IHSS. We believe an IHSS scholarship is an excellent way to reward a deserving student-athlete for his/her accomplishments on and off the field.

In addition to the IllinoisHighSchoolSports.com Scholarships, we also award a Steven Rheinecker Memorial Scholarship.
On Friday, March 9, 2007, the world of IHSS changed forever with the passing of Steve Rheinecker. Known to the masses as “panther fan,” Steve was devoted to his family and basketball—combining the two circles by becoming an assistant coach on his daughter Sara’s basketball team at Elverado High School.
Steve was a great ambassador to high school basketball, both for his beloved Pinckneyville Panthers and the game in general. While we will never be able to measure the number of hearts he touched, we will always be able to measure the impact he will continue to have—as we forever dedicate an IHSS Scholarship in his honor.
